Orchestration is emerging as the control layer that coordinates state, workflow, approvals, actions, retries, and recovery across ERP, TMS, WMS, and partner systems. Governance — which decisions can be automated and which need human approval — determines how far automation can go; buyers should test failure and exception scenarios, not just the happy path.
