Fleet expansion fuels Emirates SkyCargo's South American demand growth

Emirates SkyCargo added seven weekly freighter flights in South America this year, driving double-digit export volume growth — up 57% year on year in Argentina, 22% in Brazil, 18% in Colombia and 14% in Ecuador. The carrier has moved more than 22,000 tonnes of export cargo from the region since April, led by flowers, fresh fruit and meat. The expansion is backed by fleet growth, including seven Boeing 777 production freighters delivered since March 2026, with a dedicated fleet of 23 aircraft planned by the end of March 2027.
