How long does OMS implementation take? Short answer: there is no single number, only bands. A small team with 1–2 sales channels and a few thousand SKUs can go live in 6–8 weeks. A mid-size operation with 3–5 channels lands at 3–4 months. Six or more channels, tens of thousands of SKUs, multiple warehouses — budget 4–9 months. I'm not guessing: Fluent Commerce states publicly that an MVP OMS project goes live in 6–12 weeks and that even complex ones rarely exceed 9 months, and the 2025 Salesforce OMS market study found average go-lives of 4 months, with the fastest at 5 weeks. So if a vendor quotes you 2 weeks, ask questions. If they quote 12 months, also ask questions. Both can be true — what matters is which band you're in.
