Warehouse Receiving Discrepancies: Short Shipments, Damage, and Claims
When a shipment arrives short or damaged against a purchase order, the signature you give at the dock decides how hard the claim will be. This guide follows a seller's receiving discrepancy routine: count against your own order before signing, photograph the scene, write a discrepancy note, hold problem goods apart from sellable stock, book only what actually arrived, and notify supplier and carrier the same day.
