Supply Chain Orchestration Is Becoming the Control Layer Between Decisions and Execution

A growing share of supply-chain value is lost in the gap between deciding and doing, argues Logistics Viewpoints. Orchestration is emerging as the control layer that coordinates state, workflow, approvals, actions, retries, and recovery across ERP, TMS, WMS, and partner systems. Governance — which decisions can be automated and which need human approval — determines how far automation can go; buyers should test failure and exception scenarios, not just the happy path.
